ABOUT THE FOUNDER
hey IโM JOYCE
Hey Iโm Joyce, the calligrapher turned business coach turned paper goods maker behind Only Boldly.
My jam? Using my Virgo love of routines, lists, and organization to help other creative business owners thrive.
Juggling mom life and a 9-5, I get the challenge of doing ALL OF THE THINGS. So my goal with Only Boldly is simple: Design products that help creatives gain clarity, use their time effectively, boost productivity, and confidently take bold action steps towards their goals.
The journey to entrepreneurship looked like:
2015: Hated my day job and found a creative outlet (calligraphy) to channel my feelz.
2016: Starting my first business, Write Pretty Things, where I taught 1000s of others modern calligraphy online and in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area.
2017-2020: My full-time creative biz owner era - while going all in on creating courses (Watercolor Bootecamp, Calligraphy Business School to name a few) & business consulting for other creatives.
2020: Happily returned to that 9-5 life while running my business on the side
2022: Became a (human)mom and thought Iโd close up shop.
Now: Didnโt burn my biz to the ground and started Only Boldly.
